The iPhone 6 isn’t destructible…
That’s according to the gadget insurer SquareTrade. It seems the new iPhone is that little bit tougher than its predecessors but it still clocked up a ‘medium risk’ rating on the SquareTrade breakability scale. (Interestingly the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus both performed better than the Samsung Galaxy S5).
Appearances count too: breakability tests focus on whether the phone still works after a heavy blow – but less so on whether the impact results in any battle scars to the bodywork. If you plan to sell your iPhone after your contract ends bear in mind you’ll almost certainly get a better price for a scuff-free device.
